Life at Holmes Hall
Home to the Lyman Briggs College, a residential program for students pursuing broad, science-based fields of study. Classrooms, laboratories, and faculty/administrative offices are located within Holmes Hall. Holmes is the largest hall on campus with an occupancy of 1250 residents (although Hubbard likes to brag that they are the tallest). In addition, the Honors College, a Living/Learning experience offering a diverse and lively community for talented students with shared academic and professional goals, has a floor located in Holmes Hall.

All rooms are provided with modular furniture that can be arranged in numerous configurations and designs in order to maximize your space. Our beds are in a raised configuration when you arrive, but you may lower them or modify them to suit your needs. No lofts are allowed in Holmes Hall.

Holmes Hall has barrier free accommodations for residents. Please contact the Resource Center for Persons with Disabilities for further information.

There are coed and non-coed suite floors in the building. Quiet and non-quiet options are available.

Residents have access to bike rooms, social lounges and "Learning Lounges" on most of the floors. Learning lounges are situated on the floors to encourage further interaction outside of the classroom. These lounges provide residents a location to meet with tutors, faculty and peers. Lounges have classroom-style furniture, white boards, cable TV and wireless internet service.

Residents have the luxury of participating in activities outside of classrooms within Holmes hall; music practice rooms, fitness center, weight room, Sparty's Retail Store, recreation area, sand volleyball court and a basketball half court.
